Meet Sumat Lam

Name: Sumat Lam
From: Pittsburg, CA
Current Location: Austin, TX
Education: BA Anthropology Stanford ‘14
Occupation: Customer Advisor at Box

I am a first generation Cambodian American who just happened to stumble in to Tech. I like to think of myself as an anthropologist on an adventure studying tech culture while trying to figure out what I’d like to be doing. While not studying tech or working, I like to read, play basketball, and travel. I became involved with CIT when Maya stumbled upon an article about me in the Bay Area and was glad to find other Cambodians in the tech scene. If you’re ever in Austin, feel free to reach out and we can go and grab some BBQ.
